The 400W Thermoelectric Beer Coozie

I designed and fabricated this massively over-powered single-beverage “coozie” to rapidly pull thermal energy from a room temperature can and place it into the sippable zone as fast as possible.

This project uses five 80W TEC modules with dedicated heatsinks, as well as cast aluminum cooling plates that create firm and uniform thermal contact with the outside of the can. At full power the coozie and reduce the temperature of any canned beverage by about one degree Celcius per minute.
